Would this 2016 macbook pro 13' (with retina display) run sims 4? Here are its specs: 2.9GHz dual-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz, with 4MB shared L3 cache 8GB of 2133MHz LPDDR3 onboard memory 256GB PCIe-based onboard SSD Intel Iris Graphics 550.
Wondering if it’s good enough for MacBook Air to run TS4 decently well (with almost all the packs but little to no CC). I know they run games a little better, but I absolutely refuse to get a Pro (TouchBar is a dealbreaker). The Sims 4 is the only gaming I do, so a whole gaming laptop isn’t worth it for me.

Hello, This question may have already been asked but how well will the newest base Macbook Pro 13' run the Sims 4 with 3-4 extra expansions and a couple GPs? I was thinking of getting one as right now I currently have an early 2014 13' Air which has been great, but I have Never tried running sims. What is Rosetta 2? Rosetta 2 is a translation process that enables an M1 Mac with Apple silicon to use apps built for Intel-based Macs.

As you can see below, the game is still exclusively written for Intel-based Macs, but thanks to Rosetta 2, The Sims 4 can nonetheless run great on M1 Macs:
